Spring 2015: Plastic Memories

plastic_memories

A world where technology has advanced enough to create human-like androids who can move, think and feel. They’re no different from humans. But the technology isn’t quite there yet to make them perfect. That’s what Plastic Memories talks about.

Spring 2015: DanMachi

danmachi

There sure are a lot of anime with long names these days. DanMachi, aka Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) is unsurprisingly one of those. It is also unsurprisingly pretty average.

Spring 2015: Owari no Seraph

owari_no_seraph

Another high-profile anime this season is Owari no Seraph, or Seraph of the End in English. I want to think it has potential, despite the flaws. I really do. Hence, it was the second anime I gave a go this season.

Spring 2015: Oregairu 2

Oregairu2

First anime that aired this season, and the one I was actually most looking forward is Oregairu 2. Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku, if you want the full name, but I doubt anybody would call it that. Or My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU 2. I myself prefer just Yahari Ore.

Fall 2014: Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken

DannaGaNani1

Fall 2014: Psycho-Pass 2

Psycho-Pass6

Here is the anime that I was probably looking forward to the most. That’s how good the first season of Psycho-Pass was. Of course I will be hoping to see more of the same this fall, and this episode should be proof of that.

Fall 2014: Hitsugi no Chaika: Avenging Battle

chaika2_1

This season truly is the “season of sequels”. There’s Log Horizon 2, Psycho-Pass 2, Selector Spread WIXOSS, Mushishi Zoku Shou 2 etc. There’s also the second season of Hitsugi no Chaika, which I am planning to watch. I only recently finished the first one, and was eager to see more.

Fall 2014: Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works

UBW1

With Fate/stay night, I made my first venture into Type-Moon anime. Because I’ve been playing the visual novel of Fate/stay night for a year now, I’ve also made sure to avoid anything related to series like Fate/Zero and Fate/kaleid. I even planned to see the original anime adaptation of the visual novel after finishing the game. As it took me longer than I expected – here I am, watching the remake instead of the controversial first adaptation.

Fall 2014: Log Horizon 2

loghorizon2_4

When Log Horizon first started airing, I watched one episode and put it away. I really wasn’t planning to watch it. “It just isn’t my thing”, I thought. One day, a few months after the anime finished airing, I suddenly felt like giving it another go. From then, I found one of my favourite anime series.
